Auto Awesome

I still have mush brain after driving home from Phoenix, bleeehhhhh.  It was safe and uneventful, thank goodness.  So what am I sharing with you today?  Some of my favorite editions of Google's auto awesome, yes it kindof creeps me out...but it is also super cool!
Zooming Prisoner
It does this amazing turn multiple pictures into a panorama, and bam horse motion shots!
One of our horses in Phoenix
It also does random black and whites.
Miss this sweet face
And then out of the blue it does a collage and makes you tear up.

Possible new favorite photo here!
This one is from after my ride today.
He was awesome
Seriously guys, my horse still rocks.  He had the week off while I was gone and then yesterday we did some simple walk/trot/canter and some transitions.  Today I did some serious flatwork/dressage and he was spot on.  Guess what I have video!  I took a page out of Monica's book and videoed myself, why did I never do this before?  I just leaned my phone against a sprinkler/fence post and tadah!  Lots to work on always, but every ride is an improvement.

Also, our matching game was on point!
Navy and pink, yeah yeah!
Jump lesson tomorrow, can't wait!

Chains of Love and more music video rambles

I was absentmindedly singing along to this song:

So I'm singing along and laughing cause my horse's name is Prisoner, but I got to thinking that if this is really how your horse makes you feel you might want a different one.  Just saying.  Moving on.

Next, because once I watch one music video it is a strange journey into youtube land, I present you with this:

This is Bridger in a nutshell, a whole lot of WTF, an obsession with Diva leaving, complete with a catchy undertone.

Keeping with the boy band theme I have going tonight:

These guys sing that Amnesia song that was super popular on the radio, I liked the song, little did I know they looked like they were in middle school.  A little research proved they are in fact college age, apparently I am closer to 30 than 20 these days.  Either way, this one is for all our sweet and perfect ponykins that destroy blankets, eat fence, get mysteriously lame, etc, etc, etc. "Good girls are only bad girls that haven't been found"

Finally I leave you with some inspiration.  This is one of my favorite bands and I love this song, they added a tear jerker story with this video.  Prepare to watch and then be ready to get up really do something.

Friday randoms

I have so many necklaces, seriously guys it is scary.  What I found funny though are the group that I wear most often.  Talk about a theme.
Horse, horse, horse, horse, pearl.
Because what self respecting Charles Owen wearing girly girl doesn't have some everyday pearls?  Shoutout to Equestrianista here, I love my necklace from them!  It came on a super long chain, but I shortened it and now wear it all the time!  They have so many cute things, I want them all.

In some house cleaning I came across a bunch of hats that I hadn't worn in forever, they are all washed and I've been loving memory lane.
Prisoner models
I won this Eagle Fall Festival hat with Apollo six weeks after his last race doing grasshopper, back in 2008.  That consisted of a Walk/trot dressage test, logs on xc, and xrails in stadium, he was a rockstar!
Proof of rockstardom:
Still have all that tack

Headed to the finish

Like no big deal
So many it is a small world stories to go with this horse, but that is for another day.

This next hat came from 2005 when I went to Twin Rivers.  I was doing JR Novice on the infamous Reveille (heart horse, chestnut mare).  We were first after dressage in a very competitive class, then a dirty stop in stadium and an honest stop on xc put us next to last.  Oh the joys of greenies.
Yay hat
I need to find some pictures from that show.

I was wanting to post some video from yesterday, but internet/computer is being way slow so that will have to wait for later.  Here is a picture from yesterday though.
Eeeek, I love him

Still here...and full of superlatives

Sorry to leave you all hanging with one of the most depressing post ever, and thank you for all the kind comments and thoughts.  I have just been flying around like a mad person, working on red tape for job stuff, cleaning stalls, riding in between rain drops, working at the tack store, hanging with my mom (who is here through the end of the year), deep cleaning my house, etc etc etc.  If I refuse to think about it I don't cry, but driving alone in my car is a dangerous place for the state of my makeup.
This guys is good for lots of love
I'm loving reading all your secret santa posts, I've managed to miss that train two years in a row...sad face.  We did have the most awesome impromptu get together with local blogger/horse girls the other night and seriously, BEST. SWAG. EVAHHH!  I need to get pictures of it all so I can share it here.  We had good food and laughter till our stomachs hurt.  Seriously why do we have things like jobs and school, lets just hang out and play ponies forever and ever...ok ok don't answer that.
Fun times from last year
I've been getting a few rides in on the best horse EVAH! between rain storms and general December insanity.
I just want to cuddle him

Check out that new bonnet!
After our coldest, snowiest November ever, we have had the warmest December ever (notice no gloves).
Mud wallower
We are talking near 60 degrees and even above on several days.  Turns out Prisoner likes to search for the muddiest of mud holes.  He is also the hairiest TB ever, he was shaved at the end of October and he is currently wearing a sheet and is plenty warm.
I popped over a few jumps the other day and we had zero rushing!
Ghetto photoshop skillz
I thought my position would be horrendous, but I was pleasantly surprised.  I did find out that he hates loose ring snaffles with a single joint, or maybe he loves them.  Either way I had no brakes and quickly switched him back into his D-bit Dr. bristol.  As mush as I love him, he is a little opportunistic.  I need to do a post with all my fun sunny pictures from Phoenix and SoCal.

Randomness

After the last two photo heavy posts I don't have too much to share with you.  Prisoner has been doing poles and flatwork and generally been adorable.
stinkin' cute

Covering that ground
Be looking for a review of those cute white front boots that he is rocking!  I won them from Majyk Equipe.
Gigi is as good as sold these days and will be soon heading to her new home.  I will miss the beautiful red mare, but she adores her new person so it's all good.
So shiney!
I clipped Prisoner (sprinklerbandit cleaned it all up so he looks perfect)!  I left hearts all over his behind for our scary jump night costume.
No drugs!
He was very good, got a bit antsy here and there, but over all a gem.  He had more hair than most of the other horses at the barn and I could have used some bigger clippers, silly OTTB.  I will get some pictures of his clip job today!  We went as Cupid and her 'Prisoner of love' for scary jump night.  I make a bow with a stick and twine and taped a heart to the end of one of the Hubby's arrows, wore all the pink and called it good.  We had a blast or at least I did.  P-diddy was a bit unsure of the insanity and got a little light on the front end, but really if that is the worst he is gonna be I can't complain.  Yay for teddy bear fits!
Kisses down his face

Jumping with my trusty bow and arrow tied to my back!
Ok well hopefully there will be more pictures and such for tomorrow and something interesting to talk about!

*Sheepish* and epicness

Wow sending a huge thank you out to Niamh, she is just so very nice!  I'm sure most of you already follow her adventures with Riley, but if not check them out.

Also, check out she moved to Texas for a sweet giveaway from that company that puts our minds in the gutter Horze.

While the cold and grey reigned over the valley here I scoured YouTube for inspiring videos.  I've made a few playlists, more to come I'm sure.  Check it out.  Some of them are full of slick edits and rockin' music, some of them are just nice simple xc schools.  The video watching has led to some plans for epicness (Yes I'm coining this word) this spring and summer.  I hope to add some of my own videos to the playlist in the near future.  Of course my plans wouldn't be complete without sprinklerbandit and Alyssa, look for amazing stuff over their way as well!  Part of the big plans this summer, a wedding over at fourmaresnomoney!  So, you guessed it, I'm making lists!
This has since been added to
Glad you are all horse people, a few of those sound pretty strange if you read them like a non-horse person.
I've also been working on visualizing not jumping ahead.  I had though I'd eradicated this habit long ago, but last fall is started creeping in while jumping Diva and Courage.  Sprinklerbandit and I were talking about how your mind can't differentiate between what you visualize and what you have actually done.  Then the next day EN posted this article.  Looks like we are on the right track!

It has finally warmed up a bit, rained a bit, and now we have more than a bit of mud, but it is progress!  We also have legit clouds again!
Looking out across the valley

Yeah I can do sunset pictures again:)
My horses are getting stir crazy (yes even in their giant field).  I can't wait to get them back to work.  Several times I've started to get worried about not progressing in the last two months, then I remind myself that it is winter in Idaho.  To tell the truth I'm usually able to get a fair bit of riding done in February, yahooooooo!  I'm hoping to at least get on this weekend and go for a walk.  They all need their feet done and you guessed it 'bad race owner's' check still has not arrived.

A friend posted this on my Facebook wall:
The best part is this applies to me and my husband (minus the part about one of us not wanting one).  Racehorses, event horses bring them on.  Now to find good race clients;)

So this post is totally all over the place, but it is Saturday what can we expect?  Finally in prep for the biggest weekend in a sport I really couldn't care less about we made this:
