Need some sun

My apologies to those of you stuck in the snow!  In case you can get some vitamin D from pictures of the sun, let me help.  You guessed it, I'm back in Phoenix for a few days and the weather is fine.

I flew into LAX before catching the flight to Phoenix and we ended up flying right along the Sierra Nevadas and it was beautiful.

Glad you all enjoyed my goal fails!  I'm down in Phoenix after an epic trip with a truck and trailer. I drove from Boise to saltlakecity on Saturday and then on Sunday headed up to Park City to pick up two ponies and head south.  Let's just say that a four horse head to head goose neck and dually truck don't go well with narrow plowed icy roads.  Seriously, after two hours and several years off my life I was back on the road.  Also it was a toasty 5 degrees.  Imagine backing around a turn and down a hill on roads so icy the rig is just sliding and the breaks do nothing.  At least the scenery was beautiful.  The rest of the drive was uneventful, thank goodness.

Home from a week in the sun

 My yard has six inches of snow in it, bleck!  Why did I come home?  Ok enough whining, I had a lovely week and I missed my ponies and Charlie and the kitties.

I flew to Phoenix and then drove to the Los Angeles area with Eugene to spend the weekend with family.  We made a trip to the beach, the amazing tack store by Santa Anita, and ate food with family here and there and everywhere.  I also rode a horse that will soon be retiring so I can keep an eye out for a suitable OTTB replacement.

After that we headed back to Arizona for fun times at the track.

I'm thinking about starting a second page here with posts for each of the ready to retire future OTTB's that I come across, who knows maybe we can find them some homes!?  Why?  Because I want them all, but I don't live in a fairy tale and can't have them all.
